Rochester Man Sentenced For Child Porn Conviction
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester man was sentenced today to five years probation in a child pornography case.
24-year-old Tyler Jones earlier admitted to four counts of possession of child pornography. The plea agreement resulted in the dismissal of six other charges.
According to the criminal complaint, the charges stemmed from an investigation launched in February 2020 after Rochester police received several cyber tips from Google. The tips indicated suspected child pornography had been uploaded to a Google Drive account linked to an IP address in Rochester.
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators seized three cell phones and a gaming system. The SIM card in one of the phones contained sexually explicit images and videos of children, including materials depicting the sexual abuse of children who appeared to be as young as two years old.
