Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man arrested by US Marshals last week is now in the Olmsted County Jail awaiting his arraignment on second-degree murder and attempted murder charges.

20-year-old Ty’Jhuan Anderson was booked into the Olmsted County Jail today after he was transferred from the Hennepin County Jail, where he had been held since Friday following his capture at a residence in New Hope. He had been on the run as a fugitive since last November when the Olmsted County Attorney’s Office issued a warrant for his arrest.

Anderson is accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old Mikayal Gordon in a hallway at the Village at Essex Apartments last October. He is also accused of shooting and critically wounding a 20-year-old man during the same incident.

The arrest warrant says investigators spoke with a witness who identified Anderson as the shooter and stated that he had been involved in an argument with the victims before the shooting. The court documents also list some Snapchat videos recorded at a party when Anderson is seen brandishing a handgun identical to the gun that police recovered outside the apartment building after the fatal shooting.
