Two $25,000 Rewards Offered in Unsolved Rochester Homicide Cases

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Rochester Police Department announced $25,000 rewards are being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the persons responsible for two local unsolved murders.
One of the cases dates back 14 years and another occurred in April of last year. April Sorenson was 27-years-old when she was found murdered in her northwest Rochester home after firefighters arrived at the residence to put out a fire apparently started by her killer.
41-year-old Robert Volgmann was found dead last April in a northwest Rochester apartment. Police later determined he had been assaulted and murdered several days earlier, on Easter Sunday.
“Our number one goal is to deliver the highest level of public safety, so when a homicide occurs in our community, we feel a deep responsibility to deliver answers and, ultimately, justice,” says Police Chief Jim Franklin
A news release on the rewards says investigators believe someone knows what happened to both victims.
