Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - An apparent road rage incident on Saturday led to the arrest of a Rochester woman. Rochester police say 19-year-old Shamaine Branch is expected to be charged with felony assault in connection with the incident, which was reported around 10 in the morning along 37th Street Northeast.

Police responded after multiple witnesses reported two motorists driving aggressively before both cars stopped for a red light at the East River Road intersection and one of the drivers exited her vehicle. Police say the woman pulled the other female driver out of her car and the two got into a fight.

The police report on the incident says Shamaine got back in her car and struck the other driver as she drove away from the site of the altercation. Police say she stopped a short time later and was taken into custody.

It’s not known if the other driver, who came away from the confrontation with a broken finger, will face any criminal charges.
