Rochester Woman To Appear on TV’s ‘MasterChef’
One Rochester woman not only got to cook for one of the most famous chefs in the world, but also did it on national TV-- and the show airs next week!
My wife and I have watched the show MasterChef on Fox pretty much since it started. (It's starting its 10th season this week.) It features various home cooks (that'd be folks like you and me who aren't professional chefs) from across the country who head to the MasterChef kitchen in Los Angeles and compete in various cooking challenges each week for judges Gordon Ramsay, Aaron Sanchez and Joe Bastianich-- all of whom are big names in the cooking world.
And, a local Rochester woman competed in the initial challenge for this year's season! According to Little Thistle Brewing Company's Facebook page, they're hosting a viewing party on Wednesday, June 5th for Shari Mukherjee, who may be competing on the show this year. (It depends on if her cooking impressed the judges enough in the tryouts to win a white apron-- which guarantees her a spot on one of the three judge's teams.)
In a post on her Spiced Up Mom Facebook page, Shari wrote:
I took a chance and followed my dreams...and those dreams lead me to the famous MasterChef kitchen!

WATCH ME BATTLE FOR A COVETED WHITE APRON on Wednesday ✨June 05 at 8/7c on FOX✨
[I can barely believe this is real life! ]
Will I impress Gordon Ramsay, Joe Bastianich and Aaron Sanchez? Or will I be sent away empty handed?!"
How cool is that?!? The 10th season of MasterChef starts this Wednesday, May 29th, with Shari's episode set to air June 5th. Good luck, Shari! We'll be watching-- and cheering-- for you!
