Minnesota-Scores released their first QRF ranking, and a Section 1 team was ranked #1 in 9-Man, Class A, and Class AA.

Class AA:

Caledonia, the defending Class AA Champions, led the way in Class AA as they continue to tack on wins. The Warriors are 3-0 on the season with wins over Chatfield, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, and Dover-Eyota. Those three wins push Caledonia's win streak to 71. The Warriors were the lone Section 1 team in the Top 10. Chatfield came in at #13, Keyon-Wanamingo came in at #17.

Class A:

Blooming Prarie, the defending Class A Champions, started the season 3-0 with wins over Rushford-Peterson, Medford (#10 in Class AA), and Lewiston-Altura. Blooming Prarie is tied for the lead in points per game in Class AA at 38.7. Goodhue is ranked #16 while Randolph is #21 and Rushford-Peterson is #24

9-Man:

Grand Meadow, the defending Section 1 Champion, kicked off their season with a win over defending 9-Man State Champion Mountain Lake Area. The Wolverines were the team that knocked-out the Superlarks in the State Quarterfinals. The Superlarks carried wins over Spring Grove, LeRoy-Ostrander, and Southland, all of who are rated in the Top 20 in the first QRF ranking to hold their 5-0 record. The Superlarks defense has led the way, allowing just five points per game. Lanesboro was also in the Top 10 rated at #7, while LeRoy-Ostrander is #14, and Southland and Spring Grove are tied at #18.

You will be able to hear Lanesboro take on Houston on 103.1 KFIL on Wednesday night. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m.

While there will be no state tournament in 2020 due to the Coronavirus pandemic, many talented football teams have gotten the chance to show their stuff on the gridiron. The Section Tournament is set to kick-off on Tuesday, November 17th.

It has been an impressive stretch for teams in Section 1, and all across Southeast Minnesota. The playoff games should be just as entertaining throughout this season.
