The Smokin' in Steele BBQ and Blues Festival will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this weekend at the Steele County Fairgrounds. The fest serves as a fundraiser for Special Olympics Minnesota.

The food vendors will open their stands at 11AM on both Friday, June 2, and Saturday, June 3. Free music in Park Square begins at 4:30PM on Friday with Brother Sun Sister Moon. The free music on Saturday begins at 11:30AM with Harrison Street in Fair Square Park.

Music in the Beer Garden starts Friday at 5:30PM and Saturday at 2PM with the Renee Austin Band. Tickets for Beer Garden music are just $10.

Other activities include the Kids Q Kick Off at 5:15PM on Friday. Registration is still open for the Smokin' in Steele/Gopher Sport 5K Walk/Run at the Smokin' in Steele website, along with a full calendar of events.

There's also a Family Bike Cruise starting at 10AM on Saturday with the Blue 4 Kids Harmonica Lessons in Fair Square Park at 1:30PM on Saturday. A free Hot Rod Car Show takes place at 4:30PM on Saturday.

There will be a pancake breakfast on Sunday from 8AM to noon Sunday in the Beer Garden.
