Stewartville Woman Suffers Broken Tooth During Domestic Assault
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man is expected to face several criminal charges linked to a reported domestic assault.
The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office says the assault took place at a residence in Stewartville Wednesday. A woman reported being assaulted by 33-year-old Randy Rocha. She said he also threatened her with a knife and placed his hands around her throat and covered her mouth.
Deputies sent to her residence learned she had suffered a broken tooth during the domestic incident that dragged on over a period of several hours. Rocha had left before the deputies arrived.
Rochester police officers spotted him getting into his vehicle Friday at the Oak Terrace Estates Mobile Home Park. When Rocha stopped at a nearby convenience store, the officers tried to arrest him but he took off on foot. Officers caught up with him but had to use a Taser to take him into custody. Some meth and an airsoft gun were later found in his vehicle.
