Things To Check Before You Turn On Your Heat This Year

Whether you've already done it or you're about it - this is the time of year that Northlanders start to turn on their heating system for the first time.  To some people, it's a game to see how long they can hold off until the inside temperature gets cold enough that heat is needed.

Most homes in the Northland are heated with one of three ways:  With a furnace (forced air), a boiler (hot water or steam), or with electrical radiators/elements.  No matter what style of heating system you have, it's important to take a little time - especially the first time you turn it on in the season - to maintain that it's operating properly.
