Barron, WI (KROC-AM News) - Authorities in western Wisconsin have identified the victims of an early morning fire.

A news release from the Barron County Sheriff's Office says two young children were pulled from a burning home after emergency responders received a 911 call just before 3:30 a.m. reporting that a house in the City of Barron was on fire. The children, identified as 5-year-old Emily Albee and 6-year-old Connor Albee, were transported to the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Eau Claire Wisconsin where they were pronounced dead as a result of injuries suffered in the fire. Their father, 44-year-old Donald Albee, was later found deceased inside the house.

The news release says the owner of the home, who is described as the girlfriend of the father, was able to escape the blaze. 49-year-old Dolores Dahlberg was treated at the scene.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Barron, WI (KROC-AM News) - Two children were among the three victims of a house fire in western Wisconsin early this morning.

A news release from the Barron County Sheriff's Office indicates a 911 call came in just before 3:30 AM concerning a house on fire in the City of Barron. It was believed three people were still inside the house.

The two children were pulled from the burning home and transported to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospital in Eau Claire, where they were both pronounced dead. Firefighters later located an adult male victim inside the house. The Sheriff's Office says an adult female was able to escape from the burning home and was treated at the scene.

The names of the victims have not been released and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has been set up by a family member of the victims to assist the family with funeral expenses.
