Victim of Rochester Motorcycle-Car Crash Identified
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police have identified the victim of the car-motorcycle crash on North Broadway yesterday morning.
A spokesman says 28-year-old Rodney Gates of Rochester was fatally injured when his motorcycle smashed into the driver’s side doors on a car driven by 22-year-old Emily Hartmann when the Rochester woman attempted to make a left turn from the driveway for a dental office on the east side of the roadway just south of the Northern Heights Drive Northeast intersection shortly after 8 AM.
Police say Gates was not wearing a helmet. Hartmann told investigators she did not see the motorcycle. A spokesman says there is no indication driver impairment was involved and the investigation into the deadly incident is ongoing.
