Blaine, MN (KROC AM News) - A traffic camera recorded a crash in the Twin Cities metro Monday that could have been much worse than it was.

It happened around 2:30 pm on the Highway 10 bridge over Highway 65 in Blaine.

The video of the wreck shows the driver of a car that appeared to be speeding lose control as it was about to enter Highway 10 and crash into a cargo truck. The truck then crashed into the concrete side of the bridge and nearly went over and onto Highway 65 before it burst into flames.  Thick, black smoke soon blanketed the highway in the area of the wreck.

Authorities said there were no serious injuries. Reports indicate the driver of the car may have been impaired.
