I feel like the sun starts setting at noon and I can't wait to gain daylight some again.

Minnesota meteorologist Sven Sundgaard shared some great news on his Facebook page yesterday:

We only have 2 more minutes to lose up to the Winter Solstice (Dec. 21 at 4:02am). Four weeks from today we'll have gained 16 minutes of daylight. 8 weeks from today we'll have gained 1 hour, 20 minutes!

Four weeks from today is Monday, January 11th. Eight weeks from today puts us on February 8th, 2021. The sun will set around 5:20 that day and things will hopefully start feeling more back to normal.

Winter Solstice (the day with the shortest amount of daylight hours) is happening next Monday, and I'm ready for it. The lack of daylight mixed with a pandemic and other holiday stress is getting to me and I know I can't be alone.

If you are feeling anxious or stressed or just generally tired lately, know that I see you. 2020 has really put us through it and the only way to get through it is together. There is literal light at the end of this tunnel of a year and 2021 has got to be better. Think good thoughts, and soak up as much sunshine as you can.
