Fun Was Had In Mabel During 50’s and 60’s Day

This past weekend was the annual 50's and 60's Day in Mabel. The morning started for some with the 5K/10K Run/Walk "Run From The Sun" for melanoma awareness. I will have more to post about that later this week.

I did no running, but I did walk up in time to the Community Center for the Mabel Lions pancake breakfast. Did I go through a second time and try to pretend I was just coming in? Yes. I got some chatting done, then to see the cars.

There were cars all up and down main street, and folks I know from all over the area showed up. Some relatives, some friends, and Garret was flying a drone to get good footage of it all - I may have to stop over to his place to re-live the car show. All kinds of classes of cars, and Elvis even drove in!

A quick break, some live music, and a brat and a brownie pretty much summed up the rest of my day in Mabel. How was your weekend? Will you come see the cars and me in Spring Valley on Thursday?
