It has been a very exciting start to the volleyball season, and southeast Minnesota was well represented once again in this week's state volleyball rankings.

There was a little shake-up at the top of one of the rankings, while the other three remained steady. Mayer Lutheran (Class A), Pequot Lakes (Class AA), and Marshall (Class AAA) all remained at #1 this week. Northfield (Class AAAA) jumped all the way up from #6 to #1 after another impressive week on the court.

Class A Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Section 1 is a battle in Class A volleyball with four teams remaining in the Top 10 once again this week. Bethlehem Academy, Mabel-Canton, and Spring Grove were ranked the same as last week, while Kenyon-Wanamingo fell one spot from #6 to #7.

A big matchup last week was Mayer Lutheran knocking off #3 Bethlehem Academy 3-0 (25-18, 25-13, 25-23). The Cardinals have another tall task this week as they battle #7 Kenyon-Wanamingo Tuesday night in Gopher Conference action.

Class AA Minnesota Volleyball Rankings

Three teams in southeast Minnesota are ranked in the Top this week. Zumbrota-Mazeppa fell from #2 to #4 after falling to Cannon Falls last week. The big win helped move Cannon Falls from #9 to #8.

Caledonia also moved up a spot from #10 to #9. The Warriors and Bombers meet up Monday night in Cannon Falls. Chatfield also appeared on one ballot after securing five wins this past week including over Rushford-Peterson and Dover-Eyota in Three Rivers Conference play and three tournament wins over the weekend.

Class AAA Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Three teams in Section 1 remain in the Top 5 in the Class AAA state volleyball rankings as Kasson-Mantorville stayed at #2. Stewartville fell from #3 to #4 after a loss to #9 in Class AAAA Rochester Mayo and a weekend tournament loss to Centennial.  Byron moved up a spot from #5 to #4 (tied with Stewartville).

The Bears and Tigers will meet in Byron Tuesday night in HVL conference play.

Class AAAA Minnesota High School Volleyball Rankings

Section 1 was well-represented once again with Northfield climbing from #6 to #1 after another week of terrific volleyball. The Raiders are 9-0 and took down #12 Lakeville South, #7 Chaska, #1 Wayzata,  and #5 Lakeville North at a tournament in Marshall over the weekend.

Lakeville North moved up to #3 and Lakeville South moved up to #10 in the rankings. Rochester Mayo fell out of the Top 10 and landed at #11 this week.
