If you've always thought you could be the next American Idol, you now have a special chance to audition here in Minnesota later this month.

The reality competition singing show American Idol has been making singers famous for over 20 years now, from Kelly Clarkson to Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery to Adam Lambert and more. And, if you'd like a shot at being the next Idol, producers of the ABC show are holding a special audition for residents of the Land of 10,000 Lakes.

And, unlike previous audition 'cattle calls,' where you had to stand in line at a big venue, (like Mariucci Arena on the University of Minnesota campus, which was the site of American Idol auditions back in 2018) and HOPE you'd get to sing in front of producers to land a spot on the show, this year's auditions are once again being held virtually, online, with Idol Across America.
