Last night in girls basketball action, the Lyle/Pacelli Athletics defeated the Grand Meadow Superlarks 73-34. It was played on the new court in Grand Meadow, and that was quite impressive. As for the game, early on it was close, with turnovers on the first four possessions. It stayed close before a 13-0 Lyle/Pacelli run that put the score to 36-12. A three-pointer at the buzzer completed a 10-0 Athletics run to make the score 54-16 at halftime. The Superlarks battled hard like they did in the B-team game, but it wasn't enough.
