
Austin Man and His Father Charged in US Capitol Attack

Austin, MN (KROC-AM News) - An Austin man and his father are facing charges stemming from the siege at the US Capitol.
FBI agents arrested 29-year-old Daniel Johnson in Austin and his father, Daryl Johnson, was taken into custody in Iowa. Both men have been arraigned in federal court on charges of disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building, violent entry, disorderly conduct in a Capitol Building, and the parading, demonstrating, or picketing in a Capitol building.
The father and son can be seen on Capitol security videos entering the building during the rioting on January 6. The criminal complaints against the man also list social media postings about their actions inside the Capitol.
A 42-year-old Minneapolis man was also charged today in connection with the Capitol siege. The charges against Brian Mock include assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers and acts of physical violence in any Capitol building.
At least five Minnesotans have now been charged in connection with the attack on the Capitol. The list includes a Rochester woman. Victoria White was arrested and charged in April.
