Man Arrested for Attempted Robbery of Rochester Business
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A man was arrested Sunday after apparently trying to rob a Rochester convenience store.
Police officers were sent to the Casey’s General Store at 1907 7th Street NW around 6:30 AM and were told a man “with a gun in his waistband” had just left. Officers were told the man asked for money but then stated “Just kidding. I’m drunk.” The man then asked for a book of matches and left the store.
The officers found the man behind the store and arrested him on suspicion of attempted robbery. He was identified as 61-year-old Rodolfo Maldonado.
The officers discovered he had a black plastic gun that looked like a real weapon.
