National Cable Channel Filming in Rochester This Week
It's not Fox News, CNN or any of the other major cable news channels, but a nationally-known cable channel is in Rochester all this week.
According to its Twitter page, C-SPAN, as part of its C-SPAN 'Cities Tour,' is set to film in and around Minnesota's own Med City all this week. Their Twitter page mentioned that crews will be specifically looking to "highlight the city’s history and literary scene."
And another entry on their Twitter page from Sunday showed a picture of the ice jams along the Zumbro River looking towards downtown and noted that film crews had already set up shop here.
The C-SPAN Cities Tour is making stops all across the U.S. Its website describes the series like this: "On the first and third weekend of each month, we'll feature the literary life and history of a selected city. Working with our cable partners, our producing team will visit various literary and historic sites as we interview local historians, authors, and civic leaders," the site said.
If you haven't seen the show yet (and, I'll admit, I haven't), you can check out Rochester's time in the national C-SPAN Cities Tour spotlight coming up on April 20th and 21st.
