Rochester Resident’s Inspiring Tale of Courage Fighting Cancer 7 Times
Rochester resident, Ken Zaiken, is a true cancer survivor. In fact, he's battled cancer -- and won -- seven times now. Check out his story, and why he's involved with tonight's Relay for Life of Olmsted County.
Ken was recently married with a young family when cancer intervened and changed his plans. Working out east at IBM, he headed back to Rochester and began battling this insidious disease here at Mayo Clinic. Happily, he's won his battle. Not just once-- but seven times. That's the thing about cancer-- it doesn't discriminate, it can hit anyone. Hear Ken's inspiring story in the video below.
Quick Country 96.5's Curt St. John is dealing with the disease, too. His dad has been battling pancreatic cancer since last year. And Samm Adams has her own story about this horrible disease, as well: it claimed the life of her grandmother.
That's why the Relay For Life of Olmsted County is such an inspiring event. It raises money to help combat this awful disease, supports those battling cancer right now, and celebrates those who've survived.
The American Cancer Society can always use your help. (You can find out more HERE.) Take a listen to Ken's inspiring story of beating cancer seven different times. And join us for the Relay For Life of Olmsted County, Friday night at RCTC.
