Suspected DUI Driver Arrested For Rochester Hit & Run
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man is expected to face numerous criminal charges after causing a traffic wreck Tuesday while apparently intoxicated - before noon.
Police say the man collided with a pickup truck on 48th St SW near the Highway 63 bridge around 11:30 am and drove off.
Witnesses were able to report the description and license plate number of the car and an officer located it on 12th St SE near Macken’s Funeral Home.
Officers suspected the driver was intoxicated and he was arrested. An open bottle of Crown Royal was found in his car and it was learned he had no driver’s license.
Arrested was 24-year-old Nicholas Cano.
The 64-year-old woman driving the truck he hit was taken to the hospital to be treated for a wrist injury.
