Governor Dayton is putting the spotlight on Rochester this weekend by paying tribute to our public library. After the Rochester Public Library was selected for the National Medal for Museum and Library Service earlier in 2018 (only the fourth library in Minnesota to receive that honor), our governor decided to officially mark Sunday, September 9th, 2018 as "Rochester Public Library Day" in Minnesota.

And in a completely odd coincidence (not really), that's when the Rochester Public Library is also throwing an outdoor Block Party which is open to the entire community. So what better way to celebrate Rochester Public Library Day than by going to a party thrown outside the Rochester Public Library?!

You can get more info on the Block Party here.
