Brooklyn Park, MN (KROC-AM News) - Police in a Twin Cities suburb are investigating an apparent accidental shooting that claimed the life of a young child.
A news release issued by the Brooklyn Park Police Department says officers were called to a home around 10:20 last night after receiving a report that a five-year-old boy had been shot. The officers attempted life-saving measures but the child died at the scene.
The initial investigation determined a 13-year-old boy in the home was handling a gun and at some point the weapon discharged and the bullet struck the young victim. Several other juveniles were in the home at the time and were involved in making a video for social media.
