Rochester, MN(KROC AM News) - Health officials are expressing concern with rising numbers of positive COVID-19 cases and growing transmission in parts of the state, including Rochester.

Olmsted County Public Health Services says its weekly number of positive cases reached 207 last week, an increase of 81 from the previous week. The agency says that’s the highest weekly increase it has recorded so far.

The agency also expressed another concern:

“In addition to increased transmission we are also seeing more cases reporting that they do not know where transmission occurred, indicating more wide-spread community transmission.”

The number of Minnesota’s confirmed COVID-19 cases has gone over the 100,000 mark.
