Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is wrapping up its investigation into a recent traffic accident that claimed the life of a Rochester bicyclist.

Capt. James Schueller says investigators have received the final autopsy report and are expected to complete their work soon.

Schueller says their final report will be submitted to the Olmsted County Attorney to determine if any criminal charges will be filed against the driver of the truck that was involved in the deadly accident.

The June 22nd incident claimed the life of 48-year-old Stephen Pieper.

He was riding on Country Club Rd SW in rural Rochester when he ran into the side of a truck and slid under the vehicle, suffering fatal injuries. The truck was driven by 61-year-old James Hanson of rural Oronoco.

A fundraiser set up to benefit Pieper's family continues.
