2019 has already been an above average year for tornadoes, a preliminary count shows there have already been 697. USA Today says, "in a typical year, from January through December, roughly 1,200 tornadoes hit the U.S., according to the National Severe Storms Laboratory."
You probably know to head to the basement during severe weather outbreaks but what if you're not home. What if you're on the road?
